What should you know about hiring a Wedding DJ?
The Wedding DJ is usually the first to arrive and the last to leave.
Lots of times, the wedding DJ is the last to be booked for an event, but most times, they are the most remembered and arguably, the most important. Why would I say DJ’s are arguably the most important part of an event? All they do is play music right? Try to imagine going to a party where the guests come together to celebrate, but there’s no music. That celebration wouldn’t last too long and people would eventually get board. Even for guests that don’t particularly dance much, they still enjoy music.
The DJ has lots of responsibilities, but some more than others depending on what they’re hired to do. Some of these responsibilities include:
Ceremony music • Cocktail music • Dinner music • Reception/Party music • MC service/Introductions • Site Views • Providing Timelines and questionnaires • Providing music suggestions • Loading and unloading heavy equipment • Taking requests

When looking for a wedding DJ, the client should be confident about the DJ they choose to work with. They should have some kind of solid evidence that makes them feel completely comfortable. The DJ has to be aware at all times in making sure the music sounds as great as possible while also making sure the order of events flows as smooth as possible. If the client hires a wedding planner, the DJ and wedding planner will work hand in hand to keep the events flowing according to the timeline.
Things you should pay attention to and questions you should ask your DJ:
_Kind of equipment
_How much experience: # of years, # of events
_Insurance if needed
Some DJ’s offer more than just Disc Jockey service such as:
